Dear Health Information Management Professional:

We invite you to join the Seattle Health Information Management Association (SHIMA). SHIMA is a local association dedicated to promoting the art and science of health information management.

Members of SHIMA are provided with educational, networking and career development opportunities. You might be interested to know:

Members are offered several unique opportunities to network and discuss issues that affect the HIM field. For example, our last workshop was regarding the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC).
Each year, we award the Lucy Hay Memorial Scholarship to an individual pursuing a career in health information management.
We provide affordable continuing education credits for our credentialed RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, and CPC members.
Our local association is affiliated with the state association (Washington State Health Information Management Association).
